What customers say?

“ Had a fish and chip dinner today, 2 x fish, 2 x chips, peas, curry and gravy. Fish was cooked to order and in beef dripping which imparted an amazing flavour! Peas were really tasty, gravy thick and rich, curry sauce was in another league! Best I have ever had from a chip shop, nice level of spice to it, was fantastic. Fish had a lovely batter, excellent portion size and the chips were perfect. Highly recommended. ”

“ Fish and Chips twice, battered and fried right in front of us along with chips. What can I say .. DEE-LISH-US ... !!! If your local Chippy isn't this one then it should be. Super friendly, my first visit, but he seemed to know everyone who went in and made time to chat to me and make me feel comfortable. Customer service box ticked ... Food quality?? It was epic - Chips perfectly done as was the batter on the fish. Defo go there again even if it is out of my way...!! Back again and still does not fail to impress .. love this place ”

“ Best proper traditional fish, chips (they fry in beef dripping) & mushy peas we’ve had in Lancashire for many, many years, served by very friendly staff. The fish (haddock) was perfectly white succulent breaking off into chunky flakes , the batter was golden brown and so crispy. The chips were just has good mainly very chunky with a few smaller crispy ones and the mushy peas were also excellent (not out of a tin like so many are these days). We traveled from Wigan ~ I wish this chippy was local to us we’d be a regular every week. In our opinion there isn’t one chippy in the Wigan area that is comparable to this (because they all now fry in vegetable oil near us). Take note Wigan Chippies. ”

“ Excellent chippy! Best in Rossendale for traditional fish & chips. The fish is cooked fresh to order and the batter is absolutely delicious. The staff are always friendly and it still looks the same inside as when I was a kid in the 80s. They even have a picture of the guy who used to run it back then in the window. If you're in the area give it a go! Cheers, ps... The curry sauce is fantastic! ”

“ I’ve lived in Longridge for 4 years. I’m from East Yorkshire . This is our nearest chippy, using beef dripping to fry. Fantastic portion sizes. Amazing taste ….. your only rival is across in Skipton. Xx ”
